I pretty much wanted to try the food in Bombay Cafe ever since I first saw the purplish-pink theme of the restaurant located at Tanjong Katong.
Well, not for carnivores, this restaurant is totally vegetarian. If it is meat you craved, you may want to try Muthu’s Curry. I’ve been there and would recommend it. It’s fish head curry and tandoori chicken are must-try!!
So back to Bombay, I went to their new outlet at suntec and tried some of their chef’s recommendations.

The Ragda Patties, S$7/= , consist mainly of mash potatoes with onions and other ingredients together with lots of peas. Taste unique and really fills my stomach. The Paneer S$6/= , which is cottage cheese taste different from normal cheese, and after dipping into the sauce they provided, you have a sweet and spicy taste. Cool!

For S$7/= Yummy, nicely toasted bun and a good mixture of some vegetables and curry.
Now, for their specialty dessert. Sizzling Brownie. S$8/=

This is something really special. Initially, there was just the brownie and ice-cream on the pan, until the waiter started pouring in the chocolate fudge and Wow!! Smoky it appears and the fudge was boiling in the hot pan. I don’t even know where to start from. The hot-cold combination of the brownie and ice-cream is one-of-a-kind. And if you have a sweet-tooth like me, you must really try it.
There it is, a different vegetarian experience. It would’nt harm to try it out =)

I had a similar sizzling brownie at Swensens the other day and it looked pretty much the same but its alittle more expensive =/
